Cool man, thanks. Let me know either way.
Alright. A couple of things.
ALWAYS save with every tool at it’s lowest SubD!
Never save with a mask on.
Anyway, I can get you to where you can work on this.
I just exported out your original mesh at 6.5mil
imported it into XSI, flipped the normals and exported it back out.
I imported this into Zbrush, gave it UV’s and reconstructed back down the subD levels (took forever!)
After that I appended the fixed mesh to the messed up one.
Their scales were different. Zsphere mesh I’m guessing. So I did a Unify deformation on both meshes. Then I used the Zproject brush with only RBG turned on to get your polypainting back onto the model. I’ll figure out a way to get this to your tomorrow. It’s late, and I’m going to bed.
Oh dude sounds great I appreciate the effort and help. I tried exported the highest subd level to maya, took awhile like you said. But when I would try to bring high lvl stuff into zbrush it cries on me and crashes everytime. Settings for ram are maxed out even though I have 8gigs, only uses 4gigs.
I will download a trial of xsi maybe i should just for now. Use it for the export/import problem maya is giving me.
And I know its such a huge file, sorry
thanks again.
hey goat,
apparently i already had used up a trail for xsi, did you happen to figure a way to upload it… maybe torrent it or something?
thanks.
bump^^
