I’ve never seen anything like that. What are the exact steps you’re following?
I recommend dropping the texture for now, subdividing the model a ways, and using polypaint (which still works with ZAppLink). Then when you’re done painting, convert the polypaint to a texture.

First off, do not use Projection Master if you’re using ZAppLink. ZAppLink handles the PM stuff for you. Many people encounter problems due to trying to use both.

When exporting from Max make sure that “# of Digits” is set to 6. You may also need to reset the xForm first.

I’m sorry, but I’m not a Max user. You might find detailed instructions by doing an advanced search here at ZBC using the term “reset +xform”
