Zapplink Addiction

“Enough is Enough”, she said. Also said I am probably
the only one that does this stuff. So I thought I would
ask.
Do you?

  1. Find that in Photoshop, the only tool you can do in
your sleep is the clone brush?
  2. Find that friends, neighbors and everyone around you is
running away when they see you have digital camera?
  3. Discover that the people who’s picture you took are looking
at the porn sites to find themselves.
  4. Get requests for payment for taking pictures.
  5. Want to know if you can put their head on Angelina Jolies body.
    or Vice Versa
  6. Hear screams of “that ain’t me” when they see their face on a model?
  7. Wonder why the forehead, chin and neck cannot be cloned from the same
    area.
  8. Find that there are more colors in the face than you thought.
  9. Last, this is the reason I am here.

Has anyone ever stood on a chair to get a photo of hair?

I love zapplink.

Anyone experiencing similar “problems”,feel free to add.

edit though I would show the reason for standing on the chair.
I think the" hair result was worth it

What in the hell was this post about!

Try not to fall off the chair.

What in the hell was this post about!

I forgot, you should have asked me before.
If I remember will repost.
Why are you reading stuff in this section, noone
comes here?

I’m trying my best to sink in all information on ZBrush Central into my tiny little brain, but the Pubic hair on the head thing made me forget everything i have learned.

Only the “special people” come down to this section.
We have to do the best we can, they only let us
out every so often.

Oh, remembered some of the purpose of the thread.
It had something to do with zapplink.
I know this because of the title.

LOL Bicc:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: I have found myself facing most of the things on the list…lol…

I used my brother’s face for a ton of models…most being normal human heads and he eventually saw a few of the better ones and voiced his displeasure to me about being turned into a monster etc…(most of the people around me though quickly recognized his likeness ) but yeah many friends and family have been digitally captured for the sake of being used in zbrush…muhahahahahaha…

thnx for the smile Bicc…

R.H.
Used to be a photographer by avocation.
One of those that brought the camera everywhere.
Took photos of people, sometimes had to get releases.
They got to see the results. Sometimes good reactions
sometimes bad.
Now I have to explain when I take the photo that they
won’t be able to see it anywhere and there is a good possibility
that only “sections” of their face will be used.
Showed a woman a head of a man and told her that her
forehead was used.
She told me she recognized it!
One bad/good experience.
Asked black friend of mine to pose for texture shots last week. From
regular photography know that photographing people of color is a
sometimes difficult thing to do.
It was supposed to be about 5 minutes tops, two or three shots. Brought camera and a laptop computer so I could
see the results immediately.
The net result was about two hours ( worth it to me because of the
results). Because of the time the man spent with me, I worked on his
photos as if they were really Photographic portraits. Printed them, gave them
to him,he and his family were happy.
Have small children there, while we were talking I showed them this site.
Explained a little of what we try to do.
Except for my better half, noone knows about BICC39., did not tell them.
Late last week I uploaded the image that was his texture here for
an experiment.
That day, the kids went online to this site and saw the image thumbnail.
They recognized the image. Great compliment to me.
What happened next was not.
Father ( model) called that evening and basically ate my ass up.
Too DarK!!! Too Fat!!! Looked Mean!!! Betrayal.
Had to go over to explain that it was his facial texture on a 3d head.
Told him I was learning.
If his kids should see this hope they will show him.
Lots of lessons learned from this, lots.

I know it’s not pc to lol at someone’s pain but…

Father ( model) called that evening and basically ate my ass up.
Too DarK!!! Too Fat!!! Looked Mean!!! Betrayal

omg…LOL…that cracked me up…I can hear that and see it being acted out in my head…

I have some “mature” friends…lol in their 50s and I am always in their face telling them how interesting their wrinkles and pores are …and I am sincere in my observations, but…one of my female friend/victims didn t appreciate those type of comments and the subject moved to here crow’s feet …she didn’t appreciate my enthuesiasm…:o

One of my closest friends and one of my first victims…well he is 34 and hmmmm let’s say “well fed” muhhahahaha I captured him and applied him to a less “fed” face model…and sent it to him and his family…looked just like him…and the magic of zbrush allowed me to shed several buckets of flesh from his face…but alas…for the feedback I got from him and his family was less than positive:evil:  D@mned if we do and d@mned if we dont…but people’s reactions are definitely unpredictable to say the least…especially when using their skin for other than that which was intended by God.:+1:  :+1:

thnx for the smile Bicc…I needed it tonight for sure.
