Z4r2 Looking for curve brush that behaves like Clip Curve function [RESOLVED]

Apologies for the silly question. I’m sure if its there, its been covered elsewhere and I’ve missed it.

Basically, as above. Playing with the awesome new curve brushes, I find myself looking for one that draws a curve in the same manner as the clip curve tool introduced in the last version. Specifically, being able to draw out a profile by assigning the points exactly where you want them, and whether they are to be curved or hard angled. It’s just something that seems like it should be there, since the functionality is already in ZB.

Any hints on if that sort of tool is there, or if it can be cobbled together from various brush settings?

Thanks for any help.

The curve Mode does not have the capability to use the ALT key to change direction because when holding the ALT key that will be telling ZBrush to use the stroke as a negative cut into the mesh. Not there yet.

Ah. Thanks for that. In the meantime I suppose I cat set the point distribution up higher in the stroke palette for fewer points, and sort of pull the points closer to the exact profile that I want, since they are editable.

Fantastic new tools, regardless.

Don’t miss the CurveEditable brush though.

Not quite what I was looking for. I was hoping for something like the Curve Quad Fill, but with the precise control of the clip curve “brush” when it came to drawing the profile.

Sort of like the Slice Curve brush, because that uses the same curve behavior as the mask/clip curve, but that would fill in shapes rather than cutting.

No biggie. It was just a bit of wishful thinking.
