Support for all wacom pens specifly the Airbrush and the wheel control.
Id like a hard edge/corner brush for making armor and stuff like that, and after smoothing edges smooth as well so after you deform smooth to get a uniform smoothness you could grab this brush and make the corners hard and straight again.
Man, imagine if someone created a way to automatically create perfect quaded lowpolys for the highpoly with perfect match. No harm in dreaming.
On Time!
clappy your z cube idea is brilliant!
Couple of requests:
-
Disable UV (in texture) does not eradicate the UVs… Simply disables them. Then they can be re-enabled without having to deal with setting a morph point and re-importing the obj.
-
Drag Rect painting seems to add a feathering around the texture image. Even if an alpha image is selected, it still diminishes the opacity around the edges. I’d like the ability to have a texture completely adhere to the alpha channel image with no added transparency.
-
Multiple colour layers
Thanks!
Oh yeah… And ZappLink no longer works with PaintShopPro… I’d like to have it functional as it was in ZBrush 2 please.
If you can have different materials for each subtool, you should be able to have a different texture for each subtool as well. Also, bones and animation tools within Zbrush would be sweet.
Due in August 2009 right? Here’s hoping it’s on time.
iirc this has already been addressed in the mac version.
Damn you lucky mac users!
Well, I suppose is not to easy read all users demands and implement it all.
Ultimately, seeing new Zbrush 4 features videos, I’ve can see some videos that suggest me that some things that I “request” now are available.
Thanks for stencil behaviour (besides the old alpha behaviour), all the texture painting improvements, or the feature that will allow us switch between Z and our 3d package at one touch, (meaning you have worried about how each software version understands the normals, displacements, etc), really we need it.
I have really a lot of illusion and impatience for try this new tools, learn it and see how my workflow and times are improved.
Not all gonna be request new features.
Pixologic, thanks for listen us.
:z
A tool that’s similar to how you can draw out shapes in ShapeShop would be great. Also, a tool similar to that in CB model pro, where you can draw curves on the mesh and push/pull them.
I want the Zsphere fly away bug gone!!! its soooo anoying
someone said it before but ill say it again zcubes!
an easier way to maintain creases for hard edges
Id love for them to have default hand ztool kind of like how they have super average man at the start bu just a hand would be sweet i have a hard time making hands and yes ive been thu all the tutorials i can find and i still cant make them look that great i can make 3 digit alien hands look good but thats about it.
another big one i want to see is to be able to add light objects into the scene so we can have actual decent looking shadows for our models.
and away for our objects models ztools to become transparent without having to do too much modding in the materials panel I still have no idea how some of you guys pulled it off.
a way to change the colours of all materials some times materials such as the wood looking one in the default mat panel i havnt found away to change the colour.
Im still sort of a newbie but and maybe some of this stuff is already possible but i havnt figured it out.
I also want a better rendering system basically make it like maya but use zrush modeling/zsphers(cubes) and navigation instead
ok…
i’ve been off for just 3 weeks and i’m FREAKED to see what’s happening to zb.
i mean what going to be in the new version and what else!
think i’m going NUTS!
ok, so for now… (let’s assume i am NUTS by now… - just had a little go with decimation master - you know what i mean) :
here’s my most crazy wish for z4 (a MUST-HAVE, btw):
drumroll…
A BOSSKEY !!!
applause…
maybe some people still remember playing good old sierra games…
and since z4 IS going to be absolutly WACKO-CRAZY-AWESOME (not?!)
we (at least i) need a little “calm-down” or “don’t panic button” just to protect ourselfs and of course all the other ignorant people, right?
right?
so… how about a little “BOSSKEY” on the side? when pressed it takes you instantaneously (?) back to the REALITY. or it just takes you to a good old screencap of … hmm let’s say: mudbox or better: microsoft excel - i mean something “too” real - to give you a little break from z4-awesomeness!
or not?
chem!
My wish is for 3D Mouse support. I have a 3DConnexion and love it. C’mon even 3D Coat and Poser support space mouse.
i would kind of like to see maybe another type of unified skin or an option to switch one that follows the structure of the model better and less spikes and noise in thin areas so the end result is more accurate i have found unified skin to be very useful to me in my workflow. if there could be any chance this could be improved i know it would help a lot…
one example of where this would come in handy is the mouth area it all seems to merge and doesn’t necessarily follow the original one but instead it tries merge the top and bottom jaw together also other areas would be fingers and other appendages which unified skin as of now has a difficult time calculating these do to the way it calculates surface curvature and the boundaries of a plane…
also it would be nice if we could have a smooth brush similar to clay that doesn’t pull apart seems when you need to merge forms to together because right now smooth tends to create gaps while clay blends so maybe a special smooth clay brush that would smooth out forms with out pulling apart these separations in the mesh…
also another thing might be is to add some kind of split tool so you can model mouths easier on the fly instead of having to retopo the sculpt as whole just to open the mouth…
it would also be nice to have some kind of bone system to use because transpose only tends to work best with topological masking which does not work that well with unified skin. and the other alternative we have now is zsphere rigging http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/ZSphere_Rigging WHICH IS SAID TO MODIFEID SO IT WORKS BETTER FOR RIGGING IN THE NEXT BETA IT SAYS SO I GUESS WE WILL SE WHAT IT BRINGS. but i think maybe a more quick rig type of thing would be good for just setting up bones and joints especially for posing a model… where you need consistent deformations and accurate rotation… also with out the the zsphere rig flying away every 5 seconds very frustrating to get a descent pose or a crash when trying to rig a mesh doesnt seem to work very well as of now…
Will Zbrush remain software rendered? Mudbox for example doesn’t work for me cause of the OpenGL thing.
As a new customer i already have my wishlist for Zbrush 4
- texture layers!
- photoshoplike tools for polypainting (burn darken lighten…)
- uv mapping tool inside zbrush so i dont have to switch to another app before painting my model correctly inside zbrush (kind of headus uvlayout would be a dream)
- space navigator support
Keep up the good work Pixologic
This would be difficult but highly desirable, agreed!
I would like a timeline for animating ZSphere based models, as animated sculptures. No need for bones and rigging, if we can animate the ZSphere structures with Transform, then edit the mesh.
Animated sculpture or Dynamic modeling in ZBrush would be a real advance IMHO.
I’m brand new to zbrush so they might already have something for this but a brush that simply erases or can easily poke holes threw the visible side of your model would make a lot of sculpting easier, especially if it came with the option to turn off a connecting to the polygons on the left or right of the hole…I don’t know how else to explain it.
