Im running ZBrush 4.0 on my X64 (64-bit Windows XP) desktop. It has 8gb of RAM and an Athlon 64 quad core. While working on high poly models, I notice my computer and the program slows down considerably, especially switching over to photoshop, folders, etc. I checked the process and performance tab under Windows Task Manager and see that ZBrush is only using a maxium of 4gb out of my 8gb total RAM.
The program is installed under Program Files (x86)…does this mean its a 32-bit version and will only use 4gb max?
Is there a way to help speed this up without buying a new processor and more ram?

That is correct. ZBrush is 32bit only.
