Thanks, guys! I really appreciate the kind words. Sorry I haven’t had a chance to reply sooner, but definitely am happy to hear the tips and tutorials were helpful.

Amazing stuff Steve! thanks for sharing.

Although I’m new to 3D Modeling, I’m quickly starting to understand it. I love looking at what other people have made, hoping to find some fresh new ideas, or at least some inspiration.

I’ll always remember you as the first person in the 3D Modeling community that I truly look up, based on your work.

I really loved this step-by-step guide, and it introduced a lot of terms and techniques that I never knew of before. Shadow Boxing was one of them, and personally I think that so far that has been the greatest and most important thing I’ve learnt to do in ZBrush so far!

Thank you Steve,
~Zelre.

Steve, I’m a newbie to Zbrush 4.0, although I am conversant with Zbrush 2.0, and Maya. I have downloaded your instructions for sculpting the t-80 tank and amusing it as a hard surface modelling excercise to get me up to speed so that I can start working on my own ideas. I understand about how to sculpt the various pieces of the tank but am having trouble finding out how to draw several of these pieces on the canvas at the same time, position and scale them correctly and then merge them together to construct the full tank. Do you have any videos , tutorials or any instructions that will help me to understand how to work with multiple subtools? I would be very greatful for any information you could send me. Thanksstmacr56

Thanks for your sharing.

Hey, Steve

i was wondering are you still doing hard surface modeling inside zbrush and only zbrush still, along with how is your technics and what have you changed with the new zbrush updates.

Thanks Brendan

I have enjoyed being creative in z-brush since version Z2. I have gradually gained in my digital sculpting skills in concert with the evolution and development of Zbrush up to the present version Zbrush4r6. Although I have been able to solve many problems encountered in the sculpting process topology seems to be a constant challenge. Many times I up the number of polygons on my models (sometimes in the millions) and run into problems when I use dynamesh, remesh, or zremesher : I lose detail, get weird deformations on my mesh, lose the clean ,sharp details of the original hi rez originals. Many times when I try to remesh the lo rez model by remeshing from the hi rez copy , I fail to get the original detail back or get weird artifacts in my mesh or an error message. I would like to find a reliable way to sculpt highly detailed, high polygon models , then remesh them to preserve the original details in a lower polygon count that would not put a strain on my computer, and cause problems exporting the file. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.i feel that my skills are 75 % there but this problem is holding me back and frustrates me.:confused:small_orange_diamond:D;)

That’s awesome. Where can we donwload all your brushes? I can’t find them anywhere. Keep rocking, such great work. Cheers
