Z sculpture

Ok, here is the final render in Zbrush.

Lots of works were done with the color map. Then I composited all the layers such as the diffuse, specular and color map in PS.

Like the previous test image, the hair and eyes were rendered in Lightwave.

For the skin texture, on the cheeks, I softened it down a bit, but maybe not enough.

Well I guess I’m getting tired with it. It was pretty hard to make it look like him especially when working in the orthographic view.

The next step will be an sss render in lightwave when it becomes available.

…just GREAT, Lucky-man:+1: :+1:

I like a lot the sculpture and texture, I only see som, ething stranger in the skin . maybe a little bit darker and shinny?

Good work,
Arturo

good work,

love the eyes :+1:

Why isn’t this top row already?

~Mike D.

looks almoust like 5 stars, a little more work and it will look super cool :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

This is awesome, but a small crit is that the pores on the cheeks and the lower forehead appear to be stretched horizontally.
Five stars from me though!

Thanks guys,

I spent my free time this morning trying out different blending modes in Photoshop with the layers.
It’s given rather interesting results and I thought I’d post it on the forum.

Please let me know what you think.blendingmodes.jpg

I don’t think anyone on the planet could possibly not know who that was of after that last render! Very very nice indeed 5 stars. Some really nice texture work (the overall quality of texture work round here is getting amazing of late).

Wayne…

Nice work, but doesn’t Mike Tyson have a thicker neck?..

Fantastic realism!

BEAUTIFULL Model.

great work,

Thelast render is to shiny :] I was just in front of teh mirror, im not that shiny :stuck_out_tongue:
Btw, are you plananing to do a full render in lightwave ?

Amazing hairs, and your a generous person.

Many thanks.

Excellent Smithers

Well, you’ve done yourself proud on this one! It always helps when you have subject with lots of character. You’ve added life to this with smile and the specular highlights. Please repost when LW9 finally get to you!

I love his face expression :sunglasses:

I would have to agree, the spec in the last render is a definate improvement on the previous ones.
Quick question… you said this was Nelson in his earlier years… but the texturing work, is of him very much older…guess there isn’t much ref of him in his younger years.

nice work

Very photo-realistic!!! :+1:

How can you get Mike Tyson mixed up with Morgan Freeman ;), great work, you’ve really managed to capture the personality in this image, congrats on the top row…
