Z-Pix by Jempix

So cool!! He reminds me of Ganondorf from Zelda a bit. Great work!!

Hi, Jempix. I forgot to ask in my last post, how many subtools is the axe made out of? Like others mentioned, the detailing on that thing is great - I’d love to see how you made it. Cheers!

I was unfamiliar with the Zelda dude, until it was mentioned just now. “Googling” him, I can see how you might see some similarities.

here you go. I put this together. Hopefully it will help you out.

Very cool, Jempix! Thanks for the breakdown - it’s always nice to see how people make such great work. Cheers!

Dude! Love the new updates! Great work man! Those details…

I had this idea of an amazon warrior. I was intrigued by the mythology behind the a-mazos, “without breast” where the warriors would remove/burn out their right breast.
This is another work entirely created and conceptualized in Zbrush. It was rendered in passes with the BPR settings and finally composited in Photoshop.

I also wanted to show a previous grey scaled version. I ended up modifying the pose a bit after some feedback from friends and peers, and it also helped me define the mood/tone for the final render.

awesome awesome awesome. the helmet design especially - reminds me of ancient Scythian gold-work. Which is only appropriate since Herodotus places the amazons close to those savage nomads.

would love to see the unposed view. - great work on that chopper/phurba also.

sweeeeeet dude!

Totally awesome!

Here is a study I did of the painting “Madame X” by the amazingly inspirational John Singer Sargent. These studies/recreations are always a humbling experience for me. My canvas was in the form of digital sculpting using Zbrush. Photoshop was used to composite and tweak the final image.
