Yona's Little Adventures...

hey moni i’m so disapointed because for the past 2 weeks i didn’t have enought time for my personal work. It’s really frustrating :frowning:
I’m waiting for an important answer which will change everything…i cross my fingers…
Today, i’m trying to export all the models in obj. files in XSI… than i’ll use subtool master to open all in one time…
In a way i don’t have a lot of work left if i succeed to bring quickly all the elements in ZB.

wish me luck

hope to find time to go on your thread soon too

:+1: ! .

I like the smug look on Elvis’ face! Great work :+1:

Today is a great day!!!
I was so scared about bringing all my TTM’s characters in the same scene.
Each one is almost 7M polys!!!
And thanks to the Pixologic team and the decimation plug, i’ll be able to bring all my characters and work with optimized versions in one scene!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH PIXOLOGIC!!!

yep its your lucky day  :+1:
Decimated my toon head character with subtools yesterday from 8 mil
to 1 and there was literally no difference from the looks of it

If only the meshes kept the uv layout even with a messy topo
it would be even greater

Cédric, it feels like the Pixologic team has some kind of sixth sense… giving us what we need, when we need it… ! Looking forward to seeing the TTM bunch together!

When i see Elvis, i see him with " un harnais" for put 1/2 beers, like that if someone of family what drink = Elvis come here! You know … the “harnais” withe the bottle, perhaps is working, perhaps is not working but i think would be great. Bye Yona…

Hi YONA, I hope everything´s fine and we´re going to see the family all together soon.
Btw, erm… where´s the bus?

aaahhh Yfchlid! why not? maybe when i’ll have finished the posing
Moni…well…eumm …hum…euuuuuuhhh… i can’t find time to work for me during this week
I hope that i’ll find time this saturday because next week i’m going to teach 3days and i won’t have time after that because there will be Annecy’s festival during a week (June 9th to 13th). So during a week i won’t be at home.
I’m not sure you’re going to see all the family together before 3 weeks but i’ll do my best to do at least LINE and GUIDO’s poses.

Ah and for the bus, ask to Datadump. He is the one who’s doing it for me

One week without ZB is too much for me HAHAHAHA
So this morning i’ve started the sculpt for the CGCOACH contest and my god it was sooooo gooooood!!!

i hope you’ll like this update and see you very soon

there is an artist here !!

Wonderful work! As I have said on cgCoach – the smiling mask is my favourite – but they are all great!
They look like they are wooden. I guess that was your plan…? Man with the plan. Hahaha

By the way, are we using the same material from undoz? I love it!

Thank you!
Well, i don’t remember the name of the matcap but it seems pretty close from yours.

i love it.

nice look to the wood and the eyes on the first guy are priceless

With all those masks i bet youd like to have gozbrush now

Beautiful! Agree with Stu on the wood texture: it’s great to see how you capture that with deceivingly few/simple strokes! :+1: ! This is going to be such a great piece! :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: !

Hey Disco and Etcher ! Thank you !
No time yesterday evening to work on this little buddy, so i’ve taken 2h this morning to work on him before enjoying the sunshine
3 more masks this morning. I wanted to see all of them. What’s going to be important, is the fact that i have to be carefull not adding to much details.
To much details kills details
I’ll have to find the good balance between details and character.

Hope you’ll like the update.

wooohoooo. cedric i think you’re totally on the right way.the update looks so cool. my favourite mask is the lilttle rounded one in the middle, the eyes are great. keep it going man :+1:

Just had a look at you companys website.
Very nice start screen illustration and reel  :+1:
Especially nice to see some motion graphics that dont have the standard
flowers growing out of type style animations we see way to often.
The rhino also looked nice  .
Hope your getting enough work to live but looking at the demo reel i dont
see much standing in the way^^

Hey, the masks are looking very cool. This is definitely one of my favourite entries. Looks like you are finding that balance on the details too :+1:

Al.tintop : thank you so much man! Why don’t you try this contest? IT’S FUN!!
Disco stu : I’m glad that you liked the website and our projects. The one with the Rhino is in progress we are working with a major french TV for this one (M6) and we cross our fingers to finally sell it!!
Captain : Thank you. Now i’ve an other challenge. Finding funny expressions for each mask!! hope you will like the next ones!!

from CGCOACH thread:
Today, i’ve sculpted 4 more masks
At the begining i was thinking “ok, no more than 2 masks per day” but i couldn’t help mysel “ok, one more”
I’m close from the half of the mask part. But the next 2 weeks will be filled up of classes and by Annecy’s festival so there won’t be a lot of updates.
I’ll try to make a new one tomorrow night (if my students don’t tired me too much
and an other one next saturday.
I’ve prepared so many alphas in order to gain time but finally it’s only a base so i’ve a lot of sculpt to do. But it’s a relief to see that i move on this project so fast.
What’s funny is to create one single expression for each mask

I have to think about the pedestal too… so i’ve thought of a small piece of pillow…
Not the entire pillow because The little night maker is very small…maybe just a bend corner made with a patchwork of different fabrics… What do you think?

I can’t wait to work on TTM’s project. I miss my characters. i’d like to work on their pose next saturday

see you soon!!
