Yona's Little Adventures...

Looks great to see the family picture, hope you gonna polypaint them,
cause imho you are a great colorist.

Hi Cédric! Busy B. ! The family pic is so great! Even unposed, they are coming to life! :+1: !

Hey vampire
I´m back and just for your info – I ate a looot of garlic.
By the way – It has been brought to my attention that Etcher didn´t. Hehe
But hey it´s great to be a vampire, isn´t it?
You are immortal - Zbrush forever!
If I wouldn´t love the sun so much I´d beg for a bite.

Your update is fantastic. It´s so cool to see them all together.
(Almost all)… woof.
Can´t wait to see the final scene and the watercolor magic.

HALALALALA
Moni you put too much pressure on me!!!
Do you imagine the time i’ll have to spent to finish this project if i use watercolor?
Ok i will  …but still… i think that after the posing of each character and quick Ambient occlusion with FG and global illumination rendering, i’ll take a break on this project to do something a bit less ambitious. Probably the critters project
Than i’ll do the colors for all the characters… But there will be no watercolor on the characters but only on the BG i think…or maybe a little

yeah, cedric. you did a great job as always, when you coloured them it will be so awesome. i can’t wait any longer. the whole family is so cool :+1: i think line’s breasts are a little bit to awkward ??? the size doesn’t matter at all. maybe the breasts go a little bit to far to the sides and on bottom they are a little too straight such big boobs won’t be so straight, excepted she has a real wear-resistant bra  so keep it up, this one will be super awesome.wooohooo!!!

Thanks Al.Tintop!
i totally agree with you. LINE’s breast is a problem for me too. I’ll fix that when i’ll make her posing.
Thanks for your support!!!
Wow when i see how much, you guys, are expecting the color aspect of this project, i’m scared!!!

pfffff
i couldn’t help myself posting this step because GRANDMA and ELVIS already make me laugh before the sculpt :D!
This the first time i directly work the pose of my characters before sculpting them and man, it’s much more easier like this…this is with this kind of test that i realize that i’m still a newbie

man, you saying that makes me feel the size of a pea, haha.

Awesome duel, indeed quite funny. I love how natural and real the poses read, amazing.

Keep up the goodies, I beg you

cheers!

Hey Cédric, you’re so right man! They are alive and interacting! Strange how these “crude, blocky” shapes can be infused with so much life and character isn’t it? I got this same feeling when posing my Axl basemesh. I think that, if you scale them down a bit until the are 2-4cm high on screen and then rotate them, they already give you a good impression of the volume and flow of the final sculpt (even more fun when take a basic material and move a light around them too) Makes you wanna’ have that 3D print… . Great work :+1:

(Céd, read your reply on my thread this morning, thanks for keeping me on track and in the right mindset! It worked: 2 new characters in my mind today! Thanks :+1: )

Yona, I hadn’t seen your posts on ZBcentral! Too bad for me : they are much complete than in our french forum… And you know what I mean, coquin va!!!

WHAT THE F… !!! they are completly the same!!! are you drunk again?

I’m never drunk! Ok, ok, not always…

an other parenthesis in TTM’s project.
Thanks to Moni, i’m gonna try to make the contest of CGCOACH : Creatures and Critter.
So here is my entry. I’m sure it doesn’t fit with the fact that the sculpt needs to be printable but we never know
It’s quite different of what i usually do so it’s going to be interesting to work on that with Zbrush  .
TTM is still my prioriy but it’s motivating to work on something different.
hope you will like the sketch!

edit: a quick edit to present the little guy
Let me introduce you to the little night maker. I think that you already know the dreamcatcher. But who is in charge in our world to make us dream or having nightmares?
In fact the little night makers are every where but we can’t see them. Each human as his own night maker. And every night when we fell asleep, our little buddy comes close from our pillow and gives us a head massage with all his little hands. With this massage, he sends us vibrations that will make us dream or having nightmares. It depends of the mask he will use. Each one contains different kind of dreams or nightmares…
They are able to go everywhere they want. They walk both with their hands and legs… As they are always upside down, we never know?!! You can also see little lights on the top of his body. Because even if they live in the night, they can also be afraid of… nightmares

I’ll work with xsi for the low poly and Zbrush for the final sculpt. Hope you will like the little buddy

Regarding the watercolor. Hehe…nothing like a little pressure!

Oh – how could I miss ELVIS???
Haha he´s soo cool! I guess he eats elephant bones as appeti-Z-er.
Great start on the posing!

… and the sketch.
It looks awesome! Very original!
BUT I have to say – you are crazy!!!
Do you know how many work this will be?
All the arms and legs and their posing.

Edit:
I read the background story on cgCoach and it´s beautiful.
You should post it here, too.

This is looking ace! :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

Would look sooo good printed

this kicks ass, you bastard  it’s the first time i didn’t see on thumbnail that it’s your work. but the last sketch is really great i wish i had your concept drawing skillz. elvis and grandma will come up as good as everythingelse of your work, the lowpoly got so much character and life in it, unbelievable. :+1: :+1: :+1:

Thank you guys!!!
Moni : I’ll do my best to make you proud of me with the watercolour
and thank you for the sketch and the little backgournd story. It’s so much important to write this kind of story if you want to make your character believable. So thank you!!!
I can’t help myself i think “hum , i’m going to do something easy for my free time…” and bam there’s this crazy sketch at the end…But i don’t think it’s too much work… I’ll create parts like differents mouths, legs, hands, eyes, noses and re-use them as much as i can…Than i’ll build the character like a big puzzle kit…
Disco : I hope that he will be printed too…But i’ll probably have to thicken up the legs if i want this little buddy to be printable.
Al.tintop : Thank you!! if i’m right, you try to guess if i have posted something by looking the thumbnails at the top of ZB forum? funny

Cedric, sorry for the past posts! Guess I was really drunk!
The fact is that the size of the pictures looks bigger here than in our ZB.fr, I think that’s the source of my confusion… Sorry again!

Anyway, I really like the last sketch you made, hope you’ll win the contest!
Wish you a lot of luck buddy!

hey Bob! no problem!

It would be cool to see an entry from you over at CGCoach. Your concept looks pretty crazy. Reminds me of the cartoon fights of a smoke cloud with lots of arms and legs coming out for some reason. Would make a cool sculpt with all those faces :+1:
