Those muscles and the flesh looks great! Nice skin and renders too. In the first picture it seems to me the fold/wrinkle between the two eyebrows is going a bit far up his forehead…
Looked up Alex Ross; awesome drawings! You will do him justice. small_orange_diamond
Plakkie: Yes, The forhead needed some work This latest is getting better…Thanks for your input…
Here is a quick update. I think he’s getting closer to the feel I want. More to come later…

Oh yes its exactly like on Ross paintings , and keep him young. Now its Reeve.
Really nice sculpture!! I liked a lot:) keep on going
very nice, very good modelling
like a yonger version of Antropus’s on 1
wow i really like it keep up the good work
Nice work so far Dickie.
That wouldn’t work anyway. Superman can fly.
I like the latest face. It has the right shape and feel to it.
Dickie what’s come over you - it’s not a satirical character!?
Great work as always - look forward to see him cross the finishing line.
Forehead looks great now! Keep on Brushing!
A quickie update. I rendered the latest model and painted over in PS to get a better idea of what I need to change in the model. As you can see, the hairline at the temples needs fixing. Once that is tweaked, I’ll proceed to details and painting. The suit he has on is just an ovelay in PS and a quickie lo-res logo I grabbed off the net.
I’m learning a lot form this model. I had to go back to a model I made a few weeks ago, as I was drifting away from the design by overworking it. A bad flaw I have…
Anyway, I hope you all like it and I always welcome suggestions and comments…

Beautiful work…
Gratzi, Bernardo. I am honored. I’m a fan of your work, so I appreciate your kind words. Octopus is still one of my favorite CG illustrations…
Dickie
Very recognizable style…looks like airbrush and or oil paint. The final should be good!
Here’s a quick update. Just PS changes. More contrast a small angled brush stroke layer in there to make it more illustrative. Tweaked colors. More dramatic. Digging Z-Brush again…
nice lighting. you need to fix the hair.
thats very good.
Yes indeed, the last one does the trick I love the shading you achive in ZBrush. Not just this picture.
The model looks great, but as a few other’s might have said, the hair shading is a little wonky… you should texture the suit too, even though it’s just hinted at.It looks painted on as opposed to being actual cloth(super spandex or whatever…)
good job mate

Love the head modelling! You can see the work you’ve put into studying the anatomy, the folds and muscles are beautiful.
As it’s Superman, perhaps his chin is a bit wide, and the lower cheek (labial?) muscle near the mouth is showing too much fatty tissue. Superman can’t have any sag in his cheeks (even though the rest of us do! )
Great work though, I just love the stern, almost arrogant expression!
