Xpose distance

I need some help. Maybe it’s just me, but I thought there was a time where I could set the distance for Xpose to be a very small increment of space. Now when I try to change my preference distance, I either get far (as in one object length/space away from the other), or very far. I am trying to space a lot of subtools to have a small amount of space between objects rather than move each one individually. But every time I try different numbers in Xpose prefs, the subtools remain very far apart.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Once exposed, adjust the slider and watch them move

You can set up an XPose exactly how you want by using the TimeLine:

  1. In the Movie palette, press TimeLine>Show.
  2. In the Movie>TimeLine Tracks sub-palette, click Edit and then turn on Explode. This will show the Expose track.
  3. Set the Transform>XPose slider so that your subtools are spaced as far apart as you want them to be at the maximum extent.
  4. Click about in the middle of the TimeLine to add an orange dot to the Explode track.
  5. Set the Transform>XPose slider to 0 and then click again on the TimeLine, once at either end of the track. (You can always click and drag the dots to reposition if you want.)
  6. Click on the canvas background to show the Camera track and add an orange dot at either end.

You can now Shift+click on the TimeLine indicator to play the animation.

Thank you both very much!
That’s what I was looking for.
