Wrap mode for tilable texture problem.

Im using wrap mode to model a tilable texture on a plane. I can get it to work fine on a perfect square, but in my case im trying to create a 1024x512. So when I try to use wrap mode on a rectangle it will only tile from top to bottom, and not left to right. Any solutions before I smash my keyboard to pieces?

Everything about ZBrush is optimized for squares. Preferably in a power of 2 for the dimensions. I don’t believe you can use that technique with a rectangle. In truth, I’ve NEVER seen a tiling texture anywhere that was rectangular.

i imported a plane from max into zbrush and set my wrap mode to 1 and it doesn’t tile properly. can wrap mode work like this with external geometry?
