Working with Zapplink

Hey everyone, I’m watching some training on using Zapplink to texture a head. The tutor first rotates to a front view of the head, then clicks the Zapplink button and enters Photoshop. He paints the head and then re enters Zbrush to view the head, before starting on the side.

I’m fine with this part, but I’m wondering if you preview the head in Zbrush after painting it and accidentally pan the viewport, how can you get back to the same view that the snapshot was saved in? The problem is if I move the viewport slightly, when I go back to saving out a screenshot of the head with Zapplink to edit and paint on, it will be slightly offset from the original snapshot I took. So I’m wondering if there’s anyway of returning to the exact same view from the front that the original was taken. Hope this makes sense, bit hard to explain! Thanks

tool>document>Zapplink properties

There you can store specific views of the object that you can recall later. So if you move the object in the canvas you just need to click the button that goes with the view you want.

hope that helps.

Getting back to your problem though…probably not going to work. But for the future this should help

Thanks a lot Goast, helped a lot! Worked great
