Some thoughts:
- If you want to model a realistic or semi-realistic figure then I can not stress enough that it is important to study anatomy.
Even for cartoony characters it’s a big help if you know anatomy.
- The human form is rather complicated : it takes on different shapes in different poses : good references are necessary.
- My advice : don’t try to model complete figures, I mean figures with clothes and props and so, and don’t try to take the figures to completion, but instead focus on blocking in the basic form.
You know: you can get a very “realistic” look with a very low polygon count.
If that low poly model is “off” somehow, then your high poly model will be too.
And an extra benefit of doing “quick studies” is that you learn much faster because they take less time.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way : my intention is good :D.
When you see the awesome work here on the forums, then it's very tempting to try and achieve that yourself.

But I have wasted much too much time trying to do so without knowing the basics, so hopefully my words will save you from that mistake.

- And above all : have fun !

-PS : a great resource and great value for money = the book "ZBrush Digital Sculpting Human Anatomy" by Scott Spencer.

 Hope this helps, :+1:.

Hy!

Really nice work and it is a beginning of something really cool, but there are some problem with the model. I mean if i see this girl on the street in normal clothes, then it is not my first idea to go to her, and try to pick up, and have sex with her.
Dont be afraid, you can change some little detail an she will be fine.
The details:
-Look at her back… too wide, and muscles on the side (sorry dont know the proper names) go under the shoulder muscles. They have to go under the arms.
-You need to form the scapula, on the female body they can be visible well
-She has a fine ass, really, it is cool, but feel her waist is too low, and it can be more narrow
-Legs… subjective, but i feel they should be longer… i love long, nice formed thighs
-face… i recommend look for a girl, or celeb, or something that you love… someone you think is BEUTIFUL, and try to copy her face. Taht will help you a lot. You can better concentrate the details

  • and this is the same way to the body too… best to find a really cool girl, maybe from a porno…you can see every little detail, and you can see what things make a girl sexy

And for the and, really look for some anatomy picture, and try to understand the flowing of muscles, i think the best “tutorial” for us, Z-brush users is this topic, bless the name of its creator:

May the force be with you!

First foremost thanks to both of you for the comments by all means positive and negative keep them coming please those are really what help a person out, I do agree I should be working on fast sculpts and sketches. But here is my bigger problem since graduating from art school I keep having projects terminated because I don’t follow through actually this is the closest to completion to date and that is over 8 years, so I hope I am doing right in seeing this one all the way to the end. I know it still needs a huge amount of work and more knowledge but I will keep trying to improve it or at least take it to the point where I truly got to a stage where I can say its completed.

As far as ever even becoming half as good as the other people that post their work in these forums I don’t even dare dream of it for now I am contempt with not being the worst and someday actually completing this one hehe. I truly think no matter how hard i try I was just not meant to be a modeler since I cant draw all that well and I am much more technical oriented matter of fact my actual job today is high-end technical support for servers so for now although this is what I went to school for I take it as a hobby and as such I try not to set my bar up as high.

And of course I will follow your advise Dos Ill research and try to study those areas you pointed out and work on them. as far as the face though I was looking for a stylized face not really realistic Ill try to tweak a little bit more but I was somewhat happy with what I had.

Great LINK!

Ok I think I am happy with the results up to now so calling it done and moving on. I did try to fix all the problems discussed earlier and will keep it in mind.
