Workflow_Highres_Lowres_Normalmap_Problem

Hi everyone!

My name is Leif.

I have a little question about import a model into another 3D program like maya oder cinema4D.

I’ve sculpt a Highres monster model with multiply subtools.

What is the workflow to import that model into maya?

My current workflow is:

  1. Sculp with Dynamesh
  2. Retopo all subtools
  3. UV Map
  4. Details with subdiv. levels
  5. Colors
  6. Create maps with xnormal (normal, cavity, diffuse, AO…)
  7. import the model into maya or cinema4D (each subtool got ca 120k-200k polys)
  8. Set the materials and normals …

Is that the right way for a single image render?

My results are not so good :confused:
Should i take a higher subdiv lvl or is my workflow incorrect?

your workflow seems sound.
What are the results? Can you post an image of your sculpts and what you’re getting in another package?
The bad results could be a ton of different things, UVs, Lighting, Colors, etc.
