Workflow, c4d and zbrush. Im lost! :\

Hi.

So after reading a ton of tutorials, and watching just about every video tut I could find the last two weeks; im just as confused. If not more… :o There is no tutorial for my case it seems. And I get totally confused with all the tech talk.

So I thought I’d give this forum a trie, and see if anyone can point me in the right direction.

I just want to create cool looking creatures etc, for still images. Im NOT interested in animating, nor topology etc (if I can avoid it).

I wish my workflow to be like this: start out in zbrush and sculpt the model, texture/paint in either zbrush, photoshop or bodypain, or preferably a combination. And then do lighting/render in C4D.

For this to work, do I have to retopo the model before I export it? And do i have to lay out uv’s manually?

Basically im looking for the best way to combine these programs to make a best looking still image as possible. And all this uv, and retopo things is just a mess in my head atm. I cant believe that all those artists out there have to understand all this tech stuff?
