Just another character - Basic model low poly in XSI - and the Zbrushed displacement map - And finally renedered in softimageXSI…
the basic propotionate model was done in xsi in 4 to five hours full figure … But drawing an expression of body is yet another task which still demanding my time - and i am working on since one week - daily 3 to 4 hours - Infect it is a bit personalized model i tryied to unit lots of various expression of body as well as i am learning 3d as well - this is my first edge loop modeling - first hdri rendering - first time i am working into rendertree & shaders - First time i suceed to apply displacement map of zbrush into XSI correctly - So it is one model and a medium of lot of studies …
Further more to this I just came to know that it is still a hassle to get proper results in various results specially in XSI – so I had been in a wrestling with Xsi and found some basic good clues in render tree for good results atleast I am bit satisfied and I have no problem sharing those First of all you mesh should be clean so what I do - I do basic model (edge loop) in XSI in such a way that I should get an idea about how much multiplication is going to be of polygons in which areas – once I got a good basic model I import it into zbrush work on refinements and get it back in xsi with GUV or AUV displacement map …. etc – Then in render tree as you will get an idea from the link mentioned above I play with common sense of math (although I am really bad in it)… like you can see my model setting in these images below.
