Wishing for single license portabilty between Windows and OS X

To decision makers at ZBrush,

I sure wish we could take our Mac ZBrush license and use it for a Windows Installation. A lot of companies seem to allow a single user to install the application on a laptop and desktop as long as they are not using them simultaneously. Why can’t we do this with ZBrush?

Seems like if we license the product we should be able to run it on any operating system that it’s compatible with. I could understand if it was something like Adobe Creative Suite that is generally to large to download, but ZBrush is a single application so having both binaries on the CD or downloading alternate installers would be easy. Take a look a Maya for example works on whichever OS you want to use.

Th inspiration behind this is that I attend a school which requires their students to have Mac computer because they wanted to standardize on the software that they issue. However I have a Windows Machine also with a good bit more power, better monitors, etc. I would like to be able to run ZBrush on my Windows computer, but it’s not worth buying an additional copy of ZBrush.

And considering the ZBrush policy, unless it’s absolutely necessary, I don’t intend to stick with a company once I graduate. Unless they want to make a change before then.

Just thought you guys should know.

i think (and hope) that if you bought zbrush you will be aloud to install it on two machines, no matter which operating system.

I have a mac with bootcamp installed; now I decided to switch to the mac partition with zbrush - and I hope very much that there will be a mac-version available for owners of the PC-version
