WIP or RIP- sketchBook (C&C) nudity

little update with the pilote.

It start to be difficult to work because I have a lot of subtools. I need to clean that before to continue to sculpt. I also need to find a good renderer which can be used on a desktop to render my models, I think I will try decimation master and see if I can export all my object into Maya directly in version HR.

hope you enjoy

Where I have to look?
I think your details are hiding the story you want to tell.

The snail reminds me about some fun we had in the distant past!

Lemo

thank you for replying

Lemo, I know it’s a snail but I’m not sure if I want to see an other difference  . lots of fun with the spatials snails and I love a lot the one with the big wheels…

Bas Mazur, I’m not sure to understand. I’m french and I understand your words but not what they means… sorry. In all the case, I hope you have enjoyed my works.

What I try to say, there are a lot of details and colors. I had to look more as one time to understand the image. It looks too wild without harmony. Maybe you want it to be this way, but making an image less chaotic will give a better result. One shape & color should be the master and the others have to be the servants.

I know I have some problemes with the colors…

I have to work a lot on that,

but for the moment I think only about the concept and the modelling.
I have totally review the pilote. The last one was too small and is too difficult to see.

I’ve made a test with the initial weapon I have prepared for him
but because I have change the concept, the weapon will not be used anymore.

hope I progress,
and you enjoy

I like the design of the character and the gun. He seems very mushy…which could be what you’re going for. His colors are waaaayyy too over saturated. I mean, I like colors, don’t get me wrong. But too much hurts the eyes and confuses the viewer. Anyway, keep up the work man.

I know for the colors, goast666

that’s one of the skills I have to improve a lot
I have tried to make a less saturate version,

did it hurt your eyes this time ?

Hi everybody,

trying to add more details.

You should try to bake a dirtmap in your textures. It would make everything pop out a lot more.

I’m not sure to understand what you propose gtiber?
a dirt map is like a cavity map ? do you use Zmapper to create it?

I think it’s time to stop playing with Zbrush and start to study more my references. First try in human anatomy study. I don’t want him to look to muscular. I hope you like it because me I love it a lot…

I already found some area to workmore on like the neck and the back. I will post some updates soon.

PS: I don’t know how to mark my thread for nudity, I cant’ edit my first post?
if you know how to do?

[CharacterStrip.jpg]

Yeah dirt map is like a cavity map. I usually do it in xnormal but you can do it in most 3d programs.

Ok I have some difficultes to do cavity map with xnormal, I try a little but I don’t want for the moment to spend to much time on that I prefer to work my modeling skills.

I work a little more on the anatomy of the caracter and I do lots of subtools for the accessories. Tell me what you think,
