Just awesome. Congrats on a book cover too! :+1:

ZBrush_Document11111.jpg Amazing work man! I love the dinosaurs and keep them coming

One thing I noticed though is the spine on the ā€œfoodā€ appears to be too rigid…like it’s stiff until it gets up to the neck bones. There should be soome curvature as soon as the body is no longer supported by the lower jaw of the adult.

I hope you don’t mind but i drew it out quick over one of the images you uploaded.

Same principle holds true for the arms of the little one.

(Unless I’m totally missunderstanding this image and the rex is just carrying it :P)

Either way, the sculpt is awesome…keep up the good work!

HI Evil,

Thanks for your imput.
The pose of the corpse is based on its physical condition. Most therapods had a section of fused tendons at the base of the tail to help keep it rigid. Even in young specimins these are apparent in the fossil record and on most monographs ive been privvy enough to examine…hence its ā€œpronouncedā€ pert appearance. Its an easy mistake to think that a dead animals body would turn to a soggy bag of mush but the application of science makes you think otherwise.

Thanks for drawing on my image. If I find out where you live Im gonna come over and paint on your car. (joking).

really scary, really real.

I finally got the thumbs up from my client with the T rex scene so Here’s a rough pose showing how the book cover will look. Just have to polypaint the buggers now.

Also…Ive posted a turntable of the model on the digital sculpture page on my web site. Hope you like it.

Also…theres a really good tutorial on digital tutors called ā€œsculpting caracatures in z brushā€. Absolutely full of hands on tips for deleting parts of topology…sculpting clothes etc. Its one of my favourite tutorials. Just wish it had come out months ago.
