WIP models

A new model I’m working on, I would appreciate some critiques.

Anybody know a way to model just one of these hands and transfer that data to the others? Something better than the resym deformer.

The only way I can think of doing that is in a traditional app. Cut and paste, but then I can’t use the different layers of the Ztool.

Thanks

It’s well modelled and the mesh seems nice and clean. My only critique would be that it just looks like you took the upper torso and stacked it twice. It kind of loses its appeal that way because the musculature of a six armed man would be completely different. Each muscle should be relatively shaped to accomodate the muscles and bones around it. Also, you have to think about how limited the range of movement is.

It’s not as if you need the muscles and skeleton to be accurate. You’re not a biological engineer after all. You just have to make it look convincing.

Otherwise, I think it’s a good model.

(edit)

You should make the arms share UVs. That will make you paint on all sets of arms at the same time.

Happy easter!

Fantastic work, particularly on the head. But the forearms, hands and feet are much lower quality than the rest of the sculpting, as far as I can tell. Keep going … this is cool. :+1:

oh sorry … now I see that the bust is a different model. 6 arm dude is good, but the bust is excellent.

Thanks

I actually unwrapped only one of the arms, and made copies of that one for the rest of them. I separated the UV patches in the UVW editor for each one because I plan to use this for a low poly game model and I need the normal map.

Unless there is another way I’m not aware off.

What I can still do is just paint one of the arms, then copy and paste the texture in Photoshop for the rest.

I’m using 3Dmax, Zbrush and Photoshop by the way.

(This head is for a different character.)

Made some adjustments to the proportions.

Heavier trunk for supporting the weight and smaller arms because they would not be used as much.
