WIP Dinosaur

started this dinosaur a while back when i saw king kong, but i kind of had a hard time finishing it cause i was doing it too slow. Doing sections with time, i realised it was working out… only today i saw some designs on these forums so i decided to just go ahead with a fast zbrush sweep.

Here is the result, still got alot of work to do like teeth and eyes  but at least progress is happening.

hmmm… let’s say it’s good start. I’m worried you are detailing already. You should get rid of the higher sub divisions for now, and work on the overall shape. Once you are done with the first subdivision, make your way through to the second one. It seems you have just worked with the first and the second subdivision and then jumped to the 6th, and started detailing.
Dinosaurs are fun to sculpt, as they have lots of thing going on with their bodies.

Take this pic for example:

You should define the muscle structure first, and later on, you can worry about the bumpiness.

Thanks for the advice mate, i think you hit my work flow with this project straight on the nail, absolute true, if i can hopefully get around that, then hoping other stuff i work on could actually improve alot more.

Cheers again, im working on the overall structure of the body now

It’s because I did the same the first time. I got all excited and wanted to detail asap! But then I realized, that it wasn’t the right work flow.
I’ll be looking forward to your dinosaur!
