I’m doing a series of composer portraits for a client who uses them to make glass paper weights. I really only started using Zbrush last fall so these were among the first complete pieces I made. I worked out most of the bugs in my process on the first piece fortunately and I’m set up to continue making them for a little while.
Here’s my two complete portraits of Giuseppe Verdi and Franz Schubert. I sculpted them as entire busts before figuring out a process by which they could be flattened. They didn’t need to be as flat as a coin’s relief and having the entire bust meant I could choose the angle afterwards.
Suggestions, critiques, and comments welcome!
