General statements, some will disagreee.
If you are buying a new system, the problem is pretty much solved.
If you are thinking of upgrading would, in general say this.
The operating system has not been out that long.
Problems, a lot of them major , have been noticed.
When Vista is used to upgrade, it is aimed at computers
where it does not know all the components and setups.
Basically generic.
Updating a computer to it from XP is costly in memory that might
otherwise be used elsewhere.
What it boils down to, do you want it because it is the “new kid” in town
or is there something there that would immediately benefit you personally.
As far as corporate is concerned, some are still using things such
as Office 2000 and have no intentions of updating although they are
using a system of programs three generations old.
In rereading what I have written, does not look like I have helped you
much.
Throw it in the stew!!!
Luck!!!
