Win to Mac License transfer possible?

Hi,
as I completely switched from Windows to Mac (new Mac pro 8 core Nehalem) I want to switch my ZBrush 3.1 Windows license to a Mac license. (I have read about a lot of problems with displacement maps in the Mac version so I´m not really sure if it is a good idea to actually switch my license…)

My questions:

  • is it generally possible to turn a Win into a MAC license (for free?)
  • Are the displacement maps produced with the Mac version really unusable?

I use displacement maps a lot as I usually export them for later use in Maya and/or modo but I don´t want any Windows on my machine (I sucessfully managed to switch my most important licenses from Win to Mac and ZBrush would be the only program running on windows. Since working on Mac I simply don´t want to touch any Windows on my private machines any more. Never…)

Thanks for your help,
Marco

You can switch but not for free, about the rest I can’t help you

I personally would wait until the update has been released. Then submit a ticket at http://support.pixologic.com to request the migration instructions. The cost is 50% of the current ZBrush price.
