Wild Life Stills - Great White Shark

Hi everybody…

in this job I've tried to capture the most impressive scene that I've ever seen in my life. I don't have this picture on my stuffs, but I've this moment recorded forever in my mind... Two Great Whites at "lunch time" at Dyer Islands South Africa... Since I was a kid I've been studying and drawing the Ultimate Predator, the way they attack, how they prepare an attack, anatomy, etc.. and now Zbrush gave me this chance to "bring out of the paper" this scene!!! Besides the ferocity there are other details that I've tried to share with you like the glassy of the skin < it's incredible, a lot of hurts but very very smooth >, the power of the Jaw and how the Jaw moves out few swconds before a bite... I've modeled and polypainted on ZBrush and rendered in Cinema 4D Well, that's it! Hope You like.

Your models look good, but I think you should work on your environment and lighting some more. It has a very flat quality to it, in terms of hue and tone. The waves look too small and too close together. My eye jumps around all over the place because everything is bright and saturated.

I agree with dustin … you should spend some more time working on your environment and shaders. Great concept and idea !!! Can’t wait to see how you improve !

Ciao

im going to have to agree with the other posters. from what you posted on your step by step, the models look really well done, but he environment, lighting and textures are lacking, especially when compared to the caliber of the models. good start though.

Thanks everybody for the comments…

Well, I must study and learn a lot of light, shaders and materials before try to render again the final scene… December gonna be a good month for it!
So let’s call this job: WIP - Shark
For the moment I wiuld like to share the modeling and polypaint that I’ve done in ZBrush.

Thanks again
