Hello,
Im having problems with rendering in Zbrush4. I get wierd pixels all the time. I made a ticket with pixologic, but they only suggested I reinstall the program, which I did, but no effect.
Im running OSX snow leopard on a macpro 2.66 quad core. I have 12 gigs of Ram and a radeon 1900xt.
I never had these issues in zb 3.2. Please view the image I have attached. I have made a’couple posts about this, but never any responses.
problem is seemingly tied to having lights on. I turned off all my lights and the problem didnt seem to exist. but turned my lights back on and immediately had issues with pixels.
Also these rogue pixels only seem to show up when using the “best render”. they dont seem to show if I use the Bpr button.
Also if I set my document size to 720x486 and use Bpr render button, it goes crazy! I attached a jpg to show crazy. But when I change the document size, even to something with the same aspect ratio, it goes away. Wierd huh?
Anyone? anyone at all can help me? This is a crippling problem.
Just out of interest, does turning off Preferences>Performance>MultiDraw make any difference to the stray pixel problem?
On the BPR render problem, for Shadows try setting the Res slider so that it is the same as document width.
yes, turning off the multi-draw function does have an effect on the pixels. Turning off multi-draw seems to mitigate the problem for the most part. It also makes everything sloooooow. I thought it was a total solution to my problems, but when I did a turn table I still had issues. I can’t remember why I still had issues with the turn table. I would have to try it again.
