WI-slow-P requiring some help

I’ve been using ZBrush for the past couple weeks and I’m facing an issue I can’t solve even after a few hours of forum probing and tutorial viewing.
So I reach for your generous help.
Here’s my problem.

I sculpted an alien head, from a polysphere3D.
Subdivided 7 times, can t do more.

I made the body out of ZSpheres and I sculpted it.
Subdivided 8 times.

As I found out later viewing tutorials about merging tools/inserting tools and all this lovely yet disturbing mechanics, I can’t merge them into one (which is my goal) if their subdivision level is different.

I tried subdividing the head one level deeper but I can t.
So, I tried to lower the body maximum level but I can t do that either. I guess it s because it s from a ZSphere, since it is - to my understanding - the only difference between the head and the body.

So, my question is, can I merge those two objects or do I have to start one of them over to match the other’s subdivision level ?

I give a visual representation of the two objects, dunno if it’s useful or not.

hi EaZoToP your images didnt show up ? its always better to model the head attached to the body but you can append the two and merge visible in the subtools menu then export it as .obj then reimport it using the import menu - adjust the weld settings and merge try different settings and reimport, trying to get polys to line up on two different meshes will not be perfect tho.

Thanks a lot Gary Komar, that was very helpful.

And indeed, working on both separately was a bad idea, now I know better =)
I tried reuploading the image but failed. As you can see, I’m new to both Zbrush and ZBC ^^’

Wish you the best and I’ll try to upload the image again later today.

<EDIT>
So, since I’m sometimes a bit dumb and because I can’t manage to upload my image, here’s a link to my DevientArt post
