Hi everyone, this is a super basic beginner question but maybe someone can enlighten me: is there an advantage to masking when in transpose mode? I am just following along the process described by Ryan Kittleson in his Lynda tutorials but it seems to me when trying to draw the mask the manipulator keeps getting in the way of the masking process, which I find awkward and confusing. I have started to do my masking in edit mode and then turning on my transpose tools once I am satisfied with my mask. I know there is usually more than one way to do something but want to make sure I am not teaching myself a bad habit.
I am posing a figure tool with quite a few manipulations to get it into the right pose. Am finding that once you have manipulated a tool it is probably no longer symmetrical, and that masks drawn with symmetry on need further refinement and so that they conform to both sides of the body equally.
Thanks for any feedback
