why is pen gestures for masking vs. hiding DIFFERENT?

howdy,

just now realized why i was always fumbling around in zb more than i felt i should-

  • for masking: while holding masking key (CTRL), clicking INVERSES what part of mesh is masked. DRAGGING on empty space UNDOES EFFECT (deselects).

  • for hiding: while holding hide keys (CTRL + SHIFT), clicking UNDOES EFFECT (hiding mesh). DRAGGING on empty space INVERSES.

it seems to me like it would be MUCH more consistent if dragging either always INVERSES or always UNDOES EFFECT… would probably prefer dragging to undo and clicking to reverse…

now i realize why i kind of stumble and feel clumsy in zb… i always either end up learning the one way and get tripped up when i switch to the other function or learn the other and trip up going the other way! i just never realized why until just this moment!

is there a way for me to UNIFY this on my side by customizing the interface?

i suppose now that i know, i can try to learn it this way but in my mind, this should just be a unified gesture system.

thanks.
