So, I had a model that I did some additional tweaking on via a layer and had to leave the house so I saved the tool. Seems the layers weren’t saved with it? Is this new and if so, whose bright idea was it?
Seriously though, am I missing something? Are we now forced to apply our layer changes before saving?
Okay, this is bizarre. Same tool. Saved again today after redoing what I’d lost and the layers load.I officially give up trying to understand computers.
Did you use GoZ at any point? If you have been saving frequently you may not have noticed that GoZ changes the last saved directory and you saved your model in the GoZ data folder instead. Happened to me where I thought I had lost an hours worth of modeling, but the file was saved in the C:\Users\Public\Pixologic\GoZProjects\Default directory.
I don’t think so. However, I’ve decided on a method that seems to work. Name my layers, turn off record for all of them and save it out that way. Then I also save out a ZPR to be extra safe. Seems to work consistently so far. The first time, I hadn’t named the layers and one was still set to record. I haven’t tried using GO Z until just now. My model loaded in Modo but the textures didn’t. Oh well, I’m sure that’s user error or something simple like I probably deleted UV’s without remembering. Anyway, thanks for the help.
