Here is my work from them. Have not spent too much time on the sculpt yet.

I like it, and the breakdown, but proportional wise the hips on of a man are a narrower volume than the shoulders.
Thanks AVTPro will correct when I jump back on it
Head from a reference – very work in progress. Going to try and spend along time on this one. If anyone is interested I will post the reference.

Hey Simon!
It’s actually not as bad as you think. Just needs some refinement that’s all. First of all, get those ears worked out. Start out in lower levels of subd and work your way up - number one rule in the world of zbrush sculpting! Also, not sure if you’re working with eyeball geometry but you need to put some in so you have a reference to work those eyelids around. It’ll also make your bust come more alive instead of feeling “hollowed out”. Be sure not to forget about the skull underneath - the cheeks seems to be kinda caved in below the eye so I would pay close attention to what’s going on there by looking back at the photo ref you have.
Overall, I’d just smooth out some parts to make it look more refined. Then the wrinkle and folds stage you can add more pertinent detail that will texturize the bust.
Hope this helps!
Jesse
thanks for the help Jesse. Getting a bit sick of looking at the old geezer hehe
more work… ribs are probably a bit too pronounced again.

loving the progression of the head of the old man. Looks like he could use a tad more spherical volume behind the eyelids as they feel a bit like he’s missing his eyes underneath. You’re definitely improving Simon!
Would make a really really cool creepy animation of him opened his eyes to reveal bloodey empty sockets. Wish I had the time to do that! haha
Thanks so much for your support Jesse (and alex), Iv improved because good training
