Which tiff format?

Hi

I really would like to use .tif as my standard file format. I hate to have multiple copies(with different extensions) of the same file just because Zbrush cannot load some tif files. What are the tif standards I should be using to make sure that Zbrush would import the files (8 or 16bits)? I am looking for a .tif solution so please do nto suggest me to use .psd or bmp at the moment.

At this time there is no solution like what you’re looking for. TIFF can currently only be used for export from the alpha palette. Anything else must be PSD or BMP.

Also, to import into ZBrush you must currently use 16-bit PSD for any alphas. It’s not currently possible to get a TIFF that will import correctly.

Aurick thanks for your reply.

But it would be amazingly helpful if Pixologic at least make a seperate application that can convert main formats to whatever tif standard ZB likes. The lack of proper tif import really bloats pipelines.
