I’m trying to re-learn ZBrush. I recall that holding Ctrl+Shift and drawing a lasso or rectangle on the model keeps whatever is in the green area visible and hides everything else. I also recall that holding Ctrl+Shift, drawing a lasso, then letting up on the Shift key turns the green to red and hides whatever is in the red area. However, I’m finding that letting up on the Shift key does not turn green to red (does not have any effect at all). Is there some piece I’m forgetting?
Hold ctr+shift, make your selection in green then press alt while still holding ctrl+shift.
Actually, once you have the mask drawn out, you can let go of ‘Ctrl+Shift’ at which point you can use ‘Spacebar’ to move the mask, ‘Alt’ to turn it red and ‘no keypress’ to re-scale it. (re-scale on rectangle and circle mask only)
BTW, the same rule applies to regular masks (Ctrl) as well as the Selection brush (Ctrl+Shift).
Yes, that all works. Many thanks!
