Where should I begin with?

Hello, I’m new to ZBrush and seeing the reviews and some videos in the net, made me want to learn this 3d sculpting software. So my question(s) are these:

  1. When beginning to sculpt I saw others start from using a PM3D sphere, then starts to model it. While a few starts their sculpture using Zspheres. Which of the two should I choose to begin with.

  2. What should I do first when I’m sculpting directly from a pm3d sphere? Should I dynamesh  it first then zremesh it, or the other way around? And when should I use Zremesher?

  3. When should I click the divide button in the geometry tab? What is the difference between |Divide| & |Dynamesh|.

Thanks and have a nice day!

-Both are valid

-Dynamesh is always first and Zremesher last, when shape is definitive and you are dealing with details.

Dynamesh change the topology making a uniformly sized polygons grid. Divide only subdivide the existing ones.

I highly recommend to go to the videos of Pixologic. Zbrush is a difficult program and there are not shortcuts.
