Alas, it is advertised in the What’s New with an asterisk. Otherwise known to the multitudes as “a GOTCHA!”
Ok, fine, so where IS the 64 bit version? The installer by default ONLY installs the 32 bit version. Not one thing mentioned about the 64 bit version. So what did I miss?
McG.
There wasn’t a shortcut created for the x64 version?

Q: How do I get the 64-bit version?
A: It is automatically included with your ZBrush 4R7 installation as a separate application within the same folder. (Note for Windows users: It will NOT be in the “Program Files” directory typically associated with 64-bit applications.) Activating or deactivating the 32-bit version will also affect the 64-bit version. You may run either version at your discretion.
You sure your OS is 64bit?
On windows, open the start menu, right click the computer and properties. It should say is it 32bit or 64bit.
If it is, you should find the 64bit .exe here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Pixologic\ZBrush 4R7\ZBrush64.exe
Cheers,
David.
OMG I am so simple. Lo and behold, both 32 and 64 bit version thumbs are on my desktop. Thanks folks, all it took was closing a couple apps and there they are.
