Where did the materials all go?

Hello folks,

I’m new the Zbrush. I played with the 3.1 trial and purchased the 3.5r3 version a couple of days ago.

I have a question, and it may be a stupid one, so get ready…

In 3.1, there seems to be alot more “startup materials” then there are in 3.5. For example, there is an intensity reflection one that is not present in 3.5. There are quite a bit more missing as well.

Am I missing something? Is there some sort of setting I need to check?

I did do a complete install of the software (using the defaults), if that matters.

Thanks for the help.

Check out the ZMaterials folder. There are a number that were moved into there to make room for the new materials that have been added in 3.5.

Thanks for the reply.

Should I move them into another folder so they appear? If so, which one?

Thanks again…

Also, I did check, and I only see two therre…

GradientSky and DotsOMetal…

Weird…

Thanks again.

Spomo - I believe the materials you are looking for are located in Pixologic > Zdata > Materials.

Interesting. I looked and I didn’t see what I was looking for.

I guess what I’m wondering is, where did “Fastshader2” go, for example?

It’s nowhere in any of the installed files by Zbrush 3.5. Maybe I’m just stressing over nothing being new to the program and all.

Thanks again to everyone for their patience.
