where did INITIALIZE and MASKING ROWS n COLUMNS go`????

hi,
i recently fell in love with the initialize options of zbrush2, and the masking options which allow me to select rows, columns and grids…

where can i find these options in the version of zbrush 3???

THANKS for the help!!!

Initialize ZBrush is in the preferences… Masking is in the tools pallet tools>masking

uhmm…

under preferences there is nothing that says initialize… and under tools of course i see masking, but it doesnt allow me to do masks by rows columns and grids???

where do you see this in zbrush 3.1?

THANKS

Those options are only available for parametric objects. If you have a polymesh object (such as an imported mesh) or a ZSphere preview, they won’t be available.

The reason for this is that Grid and Row masking requires a mathematically predictable mesh. That’s only possible with a model that’s derived from a mathematical formula, like the parametric objects.
