Hello, I am a little confused as to when the proper time to unfold when working between zbrush and a 3d app. Should I unfold the basemesh before I even start shaping it in zbrush, or should I get my low and high res meshes, export back to my 3d app, then unfold the low res one? Also, I “think” I’ve seen people sculpt their high res, then completely rebuild a low res mesh to project the normals onto. Is this something people do often? Thank you for any advice.
well if you feel you want to generate texture or normal map. and that is the first step for texturing. and make sure that the high res is caged on low res before projecting any normal map.
