When I import models and rotate the view the model disappears???

Hello everyone! When I import models and rotate the view to start sculpting the model disappears or it drastically moves out of the viewport??? Is there a way to change the settings so when I rotate it does not rotate out of the viewport?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time!

On right side of canvas is Local. That has some influence on it. Also f will frame your mesh. HTH

Thanks for responding Doug! I tried turning off and on the “Local” button with no success. I also did frame it but when I turn it the model it moves out of the viewport.

Must be it’s not in the center of ‘world space’, fwiw. Go into the Deformation palette and hit unify.

‘Local’ works on the last edited point, so you need to have touched the mesh for it to work. Note also that ‘Unify’ will have repositioned and scaled your mesh. This might matter if you are going to export the model back to another program where the original scale and position are important.
