What's wrong with my alpha?

I’m trying to turn this alpha I made into a stitch pattern using the stitch brushes. For some reason it’s not coming out like the alpha image. It’s a square pattern instead of the long rounded shape.

This is the original jpeg alpha I made.

My guess is that Zbrush is compressing your image because of the odd image size you are using. Use the same shape in an image 512 x 512.

Cheers,

yep, that works. Thanx a bunch.:+1: So Alphas always have to be within a square space?

That’s right; rectangular alphas are stretched/compressed to form a square, so to keep the proportions of an alpha make sure it is square.
