I have this problem with my model. I have the default red material on then whenever i apply a new material, It covers only half the model as shown. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance…

At some point you polypainted material onto part of the model.
Activate Draw>M. Select the Flat Color material. Then press Color>Fill Object. Doing this will remove any material polypainting on the model.
