I suck at both, so I figure I should choose one to specialize in.

Haha, I like that saying.
Both is ideal. I will say that getting used to transpose and what it can offer will help in areas beyond just posing a character.
I’d agree with Cryrid.
Become ‘one’ with your transpose tool. You’ll be glad you did.
