what is happening to these zspheres?

I am new to zbrush and was moving along just fine creating several zsphere figures and then I had this begin to happen. What is happening to the first zsphere? Did I change a setting or something? It seems turned inside out though it is not.

I am going to take a guess. is it because I need to add a zsphere on the bottom of the first zsphere created? Does it somehow become like a mother of zspheres and needs children so that it does not sink in like this? Now I am not sure if that is the correct terminology, but I have noticed that when I add a zsphere to the bottom and top of the first one it does not do this.

Hey there,

you are guessing right! After drawing out the root ZSphere always draw out one on the top and one on the bottom and you should have a good geometry to begin with.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your quick response. I’m learning and my guesses are going some where now If I could get an answer to my other questions. I have about 5 different zbrush projects going each get held up as I try to figure out problems. Thanks again.

hey icreate im always willing to help a traditional sculptor get the hang of zbrush especially when they show the initiative. let me know if you need help have been around zbrush a long time i should be able to answer any question you have regarding translating traditional work flow in to the digital world…
