A few Zbrush versions ago, I think 2.5, there used to be the ability to use the Smooth Brush as a Sharpen Brush just be holding ALT while smoothing. Has that been moved to a different brush or been taken out? I can find no such action and I so very much miss it.
I’d like to know this as well. I’ve stumbled across similiar effects but is there a brush or key for this?
The opposite of Smooth is Pinch. That brush is still in the Brush palette.
There has never been a version where Shift would invert the Smooth brush because ever since Smooth was introduced Shift has always been used to activate it. Only recently has Smooth been turned into a dedicated brush.
I think what I am looking for used to be the smooth for the ram and gouge brush. It would basically sharpen up creases. Is this still around?
I remember that the pinch brush in zbrush 3 (if used with ALT) used to do something different than the smooth brush: it moved vertices apart from each other, a very handy feature that I am missing in ZBrush 4
smoothing is averaging vertices, that´s something different; don´t want to offend you, aurick, but I believe, you are wrong in this point
