Here is the default cube, when I position the action line to a vertex on the object the axis lines of the action line are not alinged to the object or the floor, are they aligning to the global axis of z brush, if so how do I set their position? Thanks
Do you have Preferences>Transpose>Align ActionLine to Axis turned on? If so, turn it off and then clicking on the surface will align the axes correctly.
Thanks Marcus, Yes I have had: Preferences>Transpose>Align ActionLine to Axis turned off , but I have noticed that the axis of the action line still become misaligned some times from both the object and floor and then turning on and off Align action line to axis has no effect on their alignment, and then they stay that way.
Then I’m not sure what’s going on, Susan. I confess that the Transpose line is partly a mystery to me. 
My problem is I was just clicking and releasing when placing the action line , but if you hold the mouse button down then you can drag the axis around the vertex and snap an axis to another vertex thus aligning them.action line you click and hold and them.
