what are common zbrush "brushes" used in sculpting?

what are common zbrush “brushes” used in sculpting? the main common set of brushes in zbrush commonly use for sculpting just want to know  thanks

Standard brush will push or pull vertex normals and is usually the best brush to paint with. Move, move topo, inflate. It really depends on what you’re trying to do to the model.

Like Doug said it varies based on what you’re doing and trying to achieve. I would bet that the brush used more than any other is the Smooth Brush.

While there’s a lot of variety and options in brushes I think most artists only use about a handful.

Usually the brush types used are buildup/remove (like Standard, Rake, Clay buildup, etc.), Smooth, Move (Move & Move Topological), Crease (Damien Standard, or my preferred crease tool the cloned Sculptris Crease), Polish/Flatten.

Those types will cover just about any type of model and look an artist needs. Even with each type there’s variations to choose from. Some artist prefer one over the other while another prefers something else. There’s plenty available and there’s always more than one way to model/sculpt. While there can be a wrong way to model/sculpt something there’s more than one right way.

Practice playing with different brushes and you’ll find which ones work best for you. Happy Zbrushing!

The Alt key to reverse a brushes direction(out vs. in) is quite handy be careful it doesn’t paint when you only wish to sculpt, it’ll do that to you. Another key thing is to try and model with good topology and use subdivision levels when existing geometry can’t hold the shape of your model any more. Yes you can go hog wild, but I find it’s easier to start low and go higher only when necessary for further sculpting/painting.

thank you for your response, i’ll keep all of your advice in mind thanks
