Weird noise and BPR rendering issue

Yesterday this strange “noise” appeard on my model without me doing anything for it to append.
I saved my ztool and oppend it in a new scene, the “noise” is still there and i got these strange looking shadows when i do a BPR render.
All the values and render properties are default .

Does anyone know whats happening ? Any help would be grately appriciated

Hello @Yautjanator

How large is your mesh? That sort of surface distortion you sometimes see when the mesh is drastically oversized in the ZBrush worldspace. For best results in ZBrush, a mesh should be in the ballpark of a Tool > Geometry > Size > XYZ of 2. This video explains some of the reasons why.

If your mesh is abnormally sized, you can unify it and all its subtools at once with the ZBrush Scale Unify command in the Scale Master plugin.

The rendering issue isn’t necessarily anything weird. It may just have to do with your shadow settings. It looks like you have a lot of rays casting shadows, but need to blend those shadows more with a lower Angle or higher Blur setting. If you’ve made changes that you cant remember in the render settings, you can save your tool out as a tool file (Tool > Save as), then restart ZBrush and load it into a fresh scene (tool > load) to return to the default render settings. You could also just Initialize ZBrush (Preferences > Init ZBrush), then load your tool.

Hi @Spyndel , thanks for the response

In Size > XYZ my model is at 1.9. However I scaled it a few time with the 3D gizmo before resizing it with Scale Master. I think my issue may come from there.

When i use Zbrush Scale Unify my model is drasticly scaled down to 0.2 in XYZ Size and the surface distortion remains.
I think I’ll use a previous save of my work where I dont have those issues if you don’t see anything else because I surely messed something up by scaling my model a little bit to much with the gizmo.

I already loaded my ztool into a fresh scene with the render settings untouched.
That’s why I thought it was weird, usualy the default render doesn’t look like this.

@Yautjanator
I have got the same issue. My model scaling was 1.8 and as per my knowledge I never did any scaing changes.

I am new to ZBrush, can you please help me on this,
